Our History
As a high school educator and a parent, the growing economic divide became more evident as I saw both my students and my daughter's peers begin to suffer. My husband and I are blessed with lucrative careers and we began to help out in terms of purchasing clothing and school supplies for kids we knew who were in need. This blossomed into birthday and holiday gifts and celebrations as well as experiences that we knew they might not otherwise be able to enjoy. We also bake fresh cookies for my students and provide them with other healthy snacks in case they come to school hungry. Nothing makes us happier than helping kids thrive and providing them with enrichment and opportunities otherwise usually enjoyed by children of privilege. We at the Bingaman Foundation believe that ALL kids deserve the same quality of life regardless of their socioeconomic status and thus it is our mission to make that happen. But we cannot continue to do this alone. Thus, The Bingaman Foundation was born. Please join us in our quest to foster thriving and productive future adults!
